Trailblazing Solar Powered Business

Sky Factory Case Study

On Thursday, June 7, 2012, The Sky Factory, a global fine art and technology company based in Fairfield, Iowa, “flipped the switch” to become Iowa’s first solar powered business, with a 54 kW array, designed to generate 104% of the company’s power needs. Sky Factory firmly believes that implementing renewable energy systems is a necessity for a sustainable future.

“Ideal Energy made Sky Factory’s longtime desire for solar power happen. They walked us through the engineering, finances, and incentives, making sure we understood each step of the process. They worked through the weather to get the system up and generating to meet our deadline. We really enjoyed working with Ideal Energy, and our system is generating electricity as projected. We ended up with a leading-edge solar array and good friends, too.”
