Drake University Solar Case Study

Drake’s mission is to provide an exceptional learning environment that prepares students for meaningful personal lives, professional accomplishments, and responsible global citizenship.

In 2019 the University completed a 128 kW solar installation at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

The carbon emission reductions from the project helped Drake met the President’s Climate Commitment goal of a 25% reduction of greenhouse gasses, and also helped the university to earn a STARS Bronze rating for sustainability.

Drake University is planning to expand on-campus solar generation in 2021.
