JOB DESCRIPTION
The Ideal Energy Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding company sales quotas. This role is for self-starters who have an entrepreneuring spirit, are highly motivated, flexible, personable, energetic and well organized. There is significant growth opportunity that comes with this role as our sales organization continues to grow and evolve, and we roll out expanded energy solutions in the coming year.
The Ideal Energy Sales Representative will be expected to develop and maintain a cadence of weekly pipeline activity that includes fostering new business relationships through outbound outreach, responding to assigned inbound leads, reactivating lost accounts or upselling previous clients on new services, nurturing existing leads in the pipeline, and closing sales.
Sales Representatives must maintain a thorough understanding of Ideal Energy’s products and services, provide friendly customer service, and work respectfully and effectively with Ideal Energy’s sales, marketing, and engineering teams.
The Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager and maintains weekly communication on prospecting, sales, and closings while meeting assigned goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Meeting or exceeding company sales quotas
Complete detailed daily reporting of all sales activity in company CRM
Provide weekly reports on sales activities, performance, closing timelines, forecasting, etc. to the Sales Manager
Complete due diligence on follow-up with prospective clients, professionally aggressive with B2B sales
Provide leadership in growing pipeline with outreach to new clients, and informing existing customer database on new products and services
Willingness to work evenings or weekends to achieve sales objectives
Work closely with Sales Manager to ensure quality of leads, conversion to customers, identification of new market opportunities, and creation of supporting marketing materials
Continually refine sales and outreach tactics
Continue to improve lead conversion process by providing input to Marketing and Customer Service to ensure optimal customer experience
Collaborate with Marketing team to support company-wide marketing campaigns
Represent Ideal Energy in a professional and responsible manner
Additional duties required as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding measurable sales quotas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clear articulation
Experience in startup environment (preferred)
Experience successfully working cross-functionally across multiple departments within company (i.e. marketing, finance, design)
Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize multiple pipeline activities and adhere to business-critical deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM Database experience (Salesforce preferred)
Self-motivated, positive, enthusiastic team player
Ability to negotiate, influence, and inspire both prospective clients and teammates
Excellent adaptability and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license
