Demonstrating Accountability to the Future with Clean Energy

Grinnell College Case Study

Grinnell College has a rich history of commitment to environmental stewardship within the campus grounds. Initiatives include signing onto the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, a pact that requires participating institutions to develop comprehensive plans to achieve climate neutrality. Since signing on, the College has engaged in a cross-section of campus-wide, sustainability efforts.

Under the direction of Chris Bair, Environmental and Safety Coordinator, Grinnell College has installed several solar installations on buildings across campus to include Facilities Management, the Old Glove Factory, and the Food House.

Ideal Energy offered complete EPC service (engineering, procurement and construction), and continues to provide consulting services to assist Grinnell College in reaching their targeted renewable energy and carbon emission reduction goals.
