Stuff Etc Coralville

Project Summary

Stuff, Etc of Coralville, Iowa is shining bright with the installation a rooftop solar array with battery storage capacity designed to cover 100% of the business’s electrical needs.

The Coralville array is the first in Iowa to feature a commercial-grade battery. This sophisticated, American-made battery pack allows Stuff Etc to avoid ‘demand charges’ from its utility during peak power usage times on hot summer days. The battery pack automatically detects when power usage exceeds a certain threshold and switches the store over to the batteries until the demand is over.

Their Words

“We’ve been wanting to go solar for many years. It was just a matter of watching the cost of the system, the rebate programs offered by the utilities, the state of Iowa, and the federal government; and finally finding the right provider.”

– Mary Sundblad, Owner, Stuff Etc
